Bazaar November 11 and 12: Don't forget to be working on bazaar items this summer. I have a collection of 35 bears and will be bringing them in July for you to help brainstorm how we will market them. Also we will be having a quilt show in November at the same time so you will be able to show any quilt, wall-hanging, etc. Does anyone know of anyone who could date or appraise quilts at that time? If you have any ideas or questions see Bunny L.

First Baptist Church, Macedon, NY, We do appreciate the support of the congregation with your prayers and cards.  Carol sang so beautifully a spiritual, "Goin' Home" while Dana accompanied on the piano.  It was very moving.  The enclosed check is for where it is useful.  Lois M.

The Music Committee needs your help!  We are in the process of looking for a new organist/accompanist starting in late August.  If you know of someone who may be helpful in our search either as a contact or a candidate, please call the church office (315-986-4510) with the information.  We will be happy to follow up on it.  Thank you!    The Music Committee

Trustee of the month for August is Harold B.  Please contact Harold for any issues of the church building.

Where have Cheryl & Gary R been?  Hello all my friends, Just a note to say Hello, and that we have not actually fallen off the face of the earth, but have made some "modifications" in our lives that have changed things some. We have not left the flock, but we are missing from our regular church attendance and duties for a while.  We are spending most weekends in Wolcott at our camp (it started in mid-April). The peace and quite is something that is quite different in our lives. Gary thoroughly enjoys it, and I've had quite a time getting used to it all. Oh well, live and learn to relax is what I've been told.  Many other changes are happening in our lives also.  We are moving to a new home and Stacy's family is going to purchase ours.  Wait, hold on, we're not leaving the congregation, believe me; just relocating living space.  At this writing, we have had a purchase offer accepted at Friendly Village in Manchester, on a 3-bedroom modular, and we are very excited about the upcoming move. Further details will be forthcoming so we can keep in touch.  I've heard news from Sue D & Pastor Carol on the goings on, and very much can't wait to talk to everyone again and enjoy our fellowship. Please keep us in your prayers as we keep you in ours. We have not left our faith and pray that you will keep us also in your thoughts.  Well, just a note to keep in touch, and will try to do better in the near future to be in contact with you all.  God Bless you and hope to see you very soon.  Cheryl & Gary

After years of hard work and dedication, it's time to take a permanent vacation.  Please join us for an Open House as we send Chick S off to new adventures on Wednesday, August 10th, 6-8 p.m., Creative Environment Day Care Center, 28 Main St., Macedon.  We will be putting together a memory book for Chick.  If you have any pictures or memories you would like to contribute, please bring or send them to the Day Care by Friday, July 9th.  To help us prepare for the party, please let us know if you'll be coming by July 29th.  Thanks!

The First Baptist Church of Macedon's Garden Club met several times in June with some challenges from weeds that were as tall as some of the people pulling the weeds and thunder and lightning storms.  A lot was accomplished; weeds were pulled, flowers were planted, edging was done, and mulch was spread all to the cheerful laughter of the workers.  Join us - everyone is welcome!  Meetings will be announced in Sunday bulletins.

Women's Philathea News:  I want to thank Donna A for opening her home for our May meeting.  I want to thank Retta S and Joan P for doing the Tea Cup Auction.  You two work well together.  There were more things on the table than usual.  Thank you Pat B for your little presentation of Women of Faith.  We also had election of officers.  I want to thank everyone for their duties, for a job well done.  By the By-Laws of the church, these positions are a three-year term.  The new position states as follows:

President:  Betty S - 2006

Vice President: Sue B - 2006

Secretary: Jane C - 2008

Treasurer:  Jane B - 2006

Coordinator of Spiritual Growth:  Pastor Carol - 2006

Coordinator of Mission & Service: Marilyn O - 2008

White Cross: Donna A & Jean B - 2006

Love Gift: Joan P - 2008

Scholarship: Bunny L  - 2006

Sunshine: Lorna D - 2007

We will be having a meeting at Betty S's home on July 20th at 7 p.m.   At this meeting we will be setting up for the fall and winter programs, hand out the By-Laws, scholarship girl and get a date for Women's Sunday.  I will need volunteers for that day.  So Ladies, I want to say that the Lady's night out on June 16th at Micelle's Lakeview Villa in Canandaigua was a success.  There was 18 or 19, one male, our student pastor.  I sure it will be a night for David that he will not forget.  The food was excellent from what I was told.  (God's Direction):  Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Proverbs 3:5-6. Betty S.

Dear Carol:  For 100 years, Fairport Baptist Homes has been true to its credo of "serving the aging who shaped our heritage."  Full partners in support of that sacred mission have been American Baptist Churches, and their commitment has been crucial to the way we carryout our task as we heed the call to "embody God's love in word an deed."  We are most appreciative of your contribution of $1,130.00 and Fairport Baptist Homes pledges to you that we will do all in our power to use your gift wisely and well for the benefit of our Residents.  Sincerely Rev. Garth E. Brokaw, President

Dear Rev. Carol Holtz-Martin and church family, Thank you so much for the generous gift we recently received from your church.  We are grateful anytime we are even considered for support by another church.  There have certainly been some mentionable praises since our last letter to you.  One of these would be seeing four souls come to now Christ as personal savior while visiting a home nearby with the missionary we work under.  On the following Sunday, I have the privilege of baptizing those four, along with the two in the family who had already been saved.  These were my first baptisms to ever perform personally, and God blessed me with an entire family of six to do so with.  It was quite an experience.  We also recently reached a new record high attendance of 24 in our Sunday morning service.  Only God could bless us with a number like that when you consider that the population of this entire town is only 84!  Once again, I would like to say thank you and God bless you to each and every member of your church.  Please keep Kevin and Donna D in your prayers as we endeavor to do God's work.  In Christ, Kevin ("Sonny") and Donna D, Missionary Interns to the Choctaws

Dear Friends:  Thank you so much for your donation of various household items as well as the donation of $60.  The household items are greatly needed and appreciated as many victims of domestic violence are forced to leave their homes with nothing.  It is comforting for these victims to have access to these donated items that they will need to start a life free from violence for themselves and their children.  The Victim Resource Center is a not-for-profit private agency that depends on small grants and the support of individuals, schools, churches, local agencies and area businesses.  We continue to focus on the victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in our community, string to do our very best at representing these victims, children and families.  We provide shelters, counseling, and legal, medical and community advocacy for these victims from our community - all at no cost to the client we serve.  Our continuing goal is to expand these services along with crating new community outreach and preventative educational programs.  The support of community organizations, area business and special donors allows our organization to continue to meet the needs of this very special segment of our community.  Once again, thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity.  Sincerely, Sarah L, Education & Volunteer Coordinator
