BLENDED WORSHIP FOR ALL

JUNE 12 - SEPTEMBER 4, 2005

Board Of Christian Education:  June is a busy month at First Baptist Church!  June 12th is Children's Sunday...mark your calendar and plan to be there!  It will be a fun-packed hour especially for our kids.  We will also be honoring our Sunday School Teachers that day.  Please note: it will be our first combined service of the summer.  June 12's service will begin at 9:30am!  This will be our new start time for the rest of the summer.  June 19th is Dad's and Grad's Day!  Since we do not have any high schoolers graduating this year, but several college grads, it will be a day to honor the college grads.  We'll also give Dads their due!!  The last Sunday of June will include our One Great Hour of Sharing mission.  Information about this mission will be announced in the upcoming weeks.  Please plan to join us in June!  Carol

Trustee of the month for June is Bob C.  Please contact Bob for any issues of the church building.

How would you like to improve the quality of life of our church family?  How would you like to be able to not park on the street?  We all have the opportunity to make a larger impact by contributing to expanding the parking lot.  The project would include tearing down the storage shed behind the former rental property, grading the land and adding crushed stone.  This would make room for several more cars.  The total cost of the project is approximately $6500 and to date we have $2800.  Please consider a donation that will have a huge impact on our quality and safety of life.  Who knows, we may attract some new members.

Attention Gardeners:  Do you love to watch flowers bloom?   Do you like to make sure your garden is free of those pesky weeds?  And water the flowers when needed?    Well, our church gardens need some loving attention and we would like to start (we think) the first ever Gardening Club of the First Baptist Church of Macedon.  If you are interested in helping start this club please contact Sue D. or Kay D.

The Trustees would like to extend a BIG thank you to those of you that took time out of your busy schedules to help with the church's annual spring clean up day.  A lot was accomplished by the workers that came out in the rain.  Thank you!

Dana, Carol and Lois express their deep appreciation for the many cards and expressions of concern during Ralph's final illness and following his death.  Lois, a woman of strong faith, is doing very well.  As she told her grandchildren, "married for better or for worse, and there was a whole lot of better and not much worse."

I thank God for your kindness to my family.  Pastor Carol

News of Jessica:  Jessica turned 22 on May 17th.  She was honored at Roberts Wesleyan Baccalaureate by being named Presser Foundation Scholar for her upcoming senior year, a grand awarded for excellence in music, academics and service.  She may use it for a new oboe!  She continues to think of us and pray for us.

Bill, our WBA Field Minister, worshipped with us May 1, a blessing.  He is now encountering difficulties that have delayed his next round of chemo; our prayers are as needed as ever.  Marg keeps in touch by e-mail; if you would like to receive these updates via your e-mail, please contact the church office.  Pastor Carol
